Account & Data Deletion Request

At Verse For You, we respect your privacy and give you full control over your personal information. You can request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

Method 1: In-App Deletion

You can delete your account directly inside the Verse For You mobile application:

  1. Open the Verse For You app.
  2. Go to Settings (gear icon in profile or menu).
  3. Tap Account.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and select Delete Account.
  5. Confirm deletion when prompted.
⚡ Deletion initiated inside the app is processed immediately.

Method 2: Web / Email Request

If you uninstalled the app or cannot log in, submit a deletion request by emailing our support team:

Include: Your registered email address and username.

What data will be permanently deleted?

When an account deletion request is finalized, the following personal data is permanently wiped from our production servers:

  • Authentication credentials (Firebase Auth UID, email, passwords)
  • User profile details (display name, username, bio, avatar)
  • Saved verses, highlights, and personal notes
  • Prayer requests and reflections
  • Quiz history, scores, leaderboard ranks, and badges
  • Grace Coins, Faith Points, and currency transactions
  • Daily streaks and reading progress
  • Sobriety and milestone logs
  • Community chat messages and group memberships
  • FCM notification tokens and device links

Data that may be retained & retention periods

Certain non-personal or legally required records may be retained as permissible by law:

  • •Financial & In-App Purchase Records: Transaction IDs and invoices processed via Google Play / App Store / Stripe are retained as required by tax, accounting, and anti-fraud laws (typically up to 7 years). These records do not contain personal app activity.
  • •Anonymized Analytics: Aggregated, fully de-identified platform metrics (such as total installs or app version stability logs) that cannot be linked back to you may be retained for system performance analysis.
Processing Timeframe: Email deletion requests are verified and completed within 30 calendar days. Once deleted, your account cannot be recovered.
